Pancreatic cancer is one of the most lethal forms of digestive system cancer. In spite of recent advances in surgery, chemother apy and radiotherapy, there has been little improvement in the survival [1], and pancreatic cancer continues to be the fourth leading cause of cancer mortality in both men and women. One year and five year survival rates are estimated at 24% and 4.3%, respectively [17].
